Welcome to the Interactive Map Server, which allows you to explore in detail some of Florida's great freshwater fisheries. Simply click on the name of a lake to get started. When viewing a lake, you can always click "Select Lake" to select one of the other Florida lakes in the current library. New maps are added periodically, so stop by from time to time to see if your favorite fishery has been added. Scroll below the list for additional sources of maps and charts.
Nautical charts or maps can also be purchased at many local marine or bait and tackle shops. Sometimes water management districts or Corps of Engineers offices also have charts available. Florida LAKEWATCH also provides bathymetric maps of some lakes that can be useful for anglers. The National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Web site allows you to order or print Nautical Charts online: http://www.nauticalcharts.noaa.gov/. Maps-on-Us can be used to generate maps for freshwater fishing sites and forecasts, boat ramps, piers, fish management areas and office locations. These maps are interactive, so you can zoom in and out, plan routes and locate local businesses (e.g., motels, restaurants, bait shops, guides). You will find links to these maps, as well as other resources, online at http://myfwc.org/RECREATION/FW_Sites.htm. Saltwater Boating an Angler Guides can be ordered from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) online at: http://research.myfwc.com/products/products.asp. An FWC online publications ordering system is available at: http://myfwc.org/epubs/pub_query.asp. |
