The Office of Public Access and Wildlife Viewing Services provides opportunities for Floridians and visitors to experience Florida's wildlife management area system by developing a range of public access improvements and interpretive materials to increase visitors' enjoyment and understanding of fish and wildlife and their habitats.

The office promotes wildlife tourism through programs such as the Great Florida Birding and Wildlife Trail, and provides technical assistance to local governments to help them achieve economic benefits for their communities by attracting visitors while conserving wildlife habitat. The office supports agency volunteer programs to achieve greater conservation benefits and leverage state dollars. Tens of thousands of Floridians partner with the FWC through these programs.
