Major Changes

Major regulation and rule changes for this season are listed below. There are many other
changes not listed here. Hunters are responsible for learning requirements and regulations pertaining to the types of hunting they pursue.

• Notable changes have been made to the limited entry/quota hunt application periods and deadlines for the 2012–2013 hunting season. To ensure a smooth transition to a new recreational licensing system in October 2012, the FWC will not be issuing any limited entry (quota) permits during October 2012. Some application period dates have been moved up earlier, and some have been pushed back later than they were last year. And others are simply going to be placed on “pause” during this timeframe and will resume in November.
