The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) and Northwest Florida State College are hosting a lecture on bear safety on Sunday, Aug. 22, from 3:30-5 p.m.

Biologists and commercial charter boat fishermen are teaming up to help oil-impacted sea turtles in the waters of the northern Gulf of Mexico.

FWC Facts:
Manatees have molars but no front teeth (no incisors or canines). Manatee teeth are unusual among mammals because they are continually replaced throughout the animals' lives.
