Boaters cautioned about Bessey Creek boat ramp in Martin Co.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC)
cautions boaters using the Bessey Creek boat ramp, seven miles west
of Stuart on State Road 714 in Martin County, that access to the
ramp is limited due to low water.
Boaters launching larger vessels will not be able to use the
ramp. Boaters with smaller vessels will have limited use of the
ramp, but they cannot back up beyond a stop that was installed by
the FWC in 2009 for boater safety.
The boat ramp will be fully functional as soon as the water in
the C-23 canal returns to a safer level for proper launching
there.
