Temporary closure of S-356 Pump Station Boat Ramp

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) will temporarily close the S-356 Pump Station Boat Ramp for maintenance this weekend. The ramp will close Sunday, April 22, at 5 p.m. and is scheduled to reopen on Monday, April 23, at 3 p.m. The ramp is in Miami-Dade County, approximately one mile west of Krome Avenue on Tamiami Trail.



FWC Facts:
Saxitoxin, the compound that produces paralytic shellfish poisoning, was used in suicide pills for U.S. U-2 spy plane pilots in the Cold War in case of crash and potential capture.
