miles of hiking trails.
Recreation
In support of the resource management goals and
objectives for the area and to provide a quality experience for all
area users, the following recreation activities are allowed:
Wildlife Viewing

Wildlife viewing is good year-round and hikes along
the area's trails take visitors through restored pine flatwoods
where numerous gopher tortoise burrows are easy to spot. A variety
of resident and migratory birds are often seen.
Hiking
Hikes are most pleasant in the cooler, winter
months. A trail brochure, available near the parking area,
describes the area's three-mile trail through restored pine
flatwoods.
Public Access
Vehicles and bikes are not permitted on trails at
Branan Field. There is one entrance, with limited parking, onto the
public-use area. Possession of dogs is prohibited.
Location
Branan Field WEA is located on Branan Field Road.
From the intersection of Interstate I-10 and Chaffee Road (CR
115C), go south on Chaffee Road for approximately 8 miles to Oak
Leaf Plantation Road. Turn right (west) and go about ? mile and
turn right onto Cecil Connector Road. Go 0.6 miles and turn left on
Branon field road, go 1 miles and turn left into the Branan Field
entrance.
