Opportunities for bird watching abound at Little Gator Creek.

Most of the area is forested and supports breeding populations of summer tanagers, Carolina chickadees, yellow-throated warblers, and blue gray gnat catchers. Alligators and raccoons are common on Little Gator Creek.

FWC Facts:
Cranes are quite omnivorous. They feed on seeds, grain, berries, insects, earthworms, mice, small birds, snakes, lizards, frogs and crayfish, but they do not "fish" like herons.
