Sometimes resident, or non-migratory Canada geese damage property or crops, introduce disease, or present threats to public safety.  The following links provide information about permits to deal with nuisance situations.

Nest/Egg Depredation Registration - If you are a landowner, homeowner’s association, public land manager, or local government, you may register at this site for federal authorization to destroy resident Canada goose nests and eggs on property under your jurisdiction. This permit is valid January 1 - June 30.

Depredation Order for Agricultural Facilities - This permit authorizes landowners (and their employees and agents) to take Canada geese and nests to reduce depredation to commercial agricultural operations.
